    (Daniela Federici) Released on November 18, The Weight Of These Wings arrived at No.1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart with 122k albums sold and No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200 all genre Chart with 133k total consumption. Now, 33 weeks after its release, The Weight of These Wings is PLATINUM. The Weight of These Wings which has been praised by critics from NPR, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Associated Press, The New Yorker, Billboard, The Los Angeles Times, Entertainment Weekly to name a few and was awarded the ALBUM OF THE YEAR at the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards this past April. In addition, the first song released from the now PLATINUM album, “Vice,” hit the Country Radio airwaves almost a year ago to date, when it released on July 18, 2016.   • Miranda’s MuttNation March Kicked off MuttNation Foundation Adoption Drive at CMA Music Festival

    (Metro Government) 60 dogs found forever homes. MuttNation shelter day sweepstakes is still underway. Miranda kicked off CMA Fest with her first MuttNation March on June 8th. Miranda with more than 1000 fellow animal lovers, including Nashville Mayor Megan Barry, created a sea of pink as they, along with approximately 120 dogs marched from Nissan Stadium over the Nashville Pedestrian Bridge, and ended at Chevrolet Walk of Fame Park, where Lambert was joined onstage by Storme Warren, host of SiriusXM’s “The Highway.” The MuttNation Foundation Adoption Drive at CMA Fan Fair X featured 60 dogs, of which 30 of them walked in the march. Besides the rescue pups, the offerings included the popular “Puppy Corral” where prospective owners could play with the dogs, a photo booth and of course the MuttNation mobile unit. The adoption drive matched the perfect shelter pups to new families in 21 states as well as Canada. Adopt, don’t shop was in full force this week where all of the 60 apoptable dogs found their forever homes! “I am so grateful that all these amazing dogs found their forever homes” said Lambert. “Marching with so many amazing fans and fellow animal lovers was really a highlight of CMA Fest for me.” For fans who couldn’t be in Nashville for the activities, don’t fret, there is still a way to participate. Through June 19, folks can visit MuttNationFoundation.com and enter in the MuttNation Shelter Day Sweepstakes for a chance to win working with Miranda Lambert making over an animal shelter in need. Miranda announces details surrounding her MuttNation events to take place during CMA Music Festival in Nashville, TN, June 8th through the 11th. To kick off the MuttNation festivities, Lambert will host the inaugural MuttNation March on the morning of June 8, where Lambert and her rescue dogs will get their “paws” marching from Nissan Stadium, over the Nashville Pedestrian Bridge, and ending in downtown Nashville. "So many shelter pets need a home, so we are going to march to raise awareness,” says Lambert. “Country music has the best fans in the world and together we can help so many animals find amazing homes." Fans and their mutts are encouraged to join in on the celebration and help spread awareness for shelter pets. Registration for the inaugural MuttNation March begins TODAY at MuttNationFoundation.com. The cost to register is $15 per person and includes an event t-shirt to wear during the MuttNation March. Miranda’s MuttNation March concludes just steps away from the Music City Center where the MuttNation Foundation Adoption Drive will take place inside CMA Fan Fair X.   • Lambert Makes History at ACM Awards

    Miranda Lambert set a record with her EIGHTH consecutive win for Female Vocalist of the Year at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMs) last night. In her acceptance speech, after paying tribute to fellow nominee, Carrie Underwood, Lambert remarked, “I’m just glad to see females kicking ass these days. I’m so proud to be part of that.” Her smash-hit double-album The Weight of These Wings also won for Album of the Year, prompting her to say, “Thank you for letting me use my heartbreak and sharing it with me.” This marks Lambert’s FIFTH consecutive album to be recognized in the ACM Album of the Year Category, the most of any artist in ACM history. Her total ACM wins now stands at 28 Awards. The Weight of These Wings soared to #1 on the iTunes charts within an hour of her win, and her single, “Tin Man” began climbing the charts following her emotionally powerful acoustic performance. Lambert recently completed the first leg of her “Highway Vagabond” tour and will be at festivals and amphitheaters throughout the summer.
