    James McVey, the lead guitarist for The Vamps, has proved that he’s as compassionate as he is talented by starring in his second PETA campaign to promote kindness to animals – this time through meat-free meals. In the advert, McVey proclaims that “Chicks Dig Vegetarians” and goes on to stress that choosing plant-based fare is an important and easy way to reduce animal suffering, saying, “There are tons of ways that we can all help animals, and I think number one should be keeping them off our plate”.   • Stars Honored At O2 Silver Clef Awards 2016

    A galaxy of stars gathered at the O2 Silver Clef Awards at Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Friday, to celebrate some of the biggest artists in music. Over 1,000 guests attended music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins' annual fund raising event to honour winners Lionel Richie, Jess Glynne, Florence Welch, Olly Murs, Massive Attack, Craig David, Hozier, Patti Smith, Jeff Lynne and André Rieu, and One Direction, the only winners to be selected by public vote. Charity patron and presenter Gaby Roslin hosted the event which featured the hotly anticipated O2 Silver Clef Auction with some incredible music memorabilia including a signed Jeff Lynne guitar and raised almost £120,000 for the charity.     Music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins has revealed the final artists to be honoured at the prestigious O2 Silver Clef Awards, taking place in London on July 1. Multi-million selling album artists Massive Attack will be awarded the Royal Albert Hall Best Group Award, Irish hit-maker Hozier will be presented with the Raymond Weil International Award, Grammy-nominated and critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Craig David will receive the American Express Innovation Award, the Founder of ELO Jeff Lynne will pick up the Icon Award and influential punk rock icon Patti Smith will be presented with the Google Outstanding Achievement Award at the annual star studded ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
