Bee Benefits

People have been using bee venom therapy to treat arthritis, joint pain, ms, and many other symptoms and conditions. Many swear by it, but I believe that the science and implications should be studied further.

I’m not a doctor, scientist, or expert in any medical field. Therefore, I provide the following information for entertainment and research purposes only. You should always seek the advice of a licensed professional for your medical needs. I will not claim to diagnose, cure, or treat any disease. I’ve found that much of the information I find on the internet is false, exaggerated, or has a potential for serious and possibly deadly side effects. For example, if you’re allergic to bee venom, this therapy could kill you. I’m more interested in understanding the science behind these therapies.

Over the course of many years of medical research I’ve become quite excited with new findings relating to the human microbiome, synthetic antibodies, natural cures, genomics, and a whole list of alternative and natural treatments, remedies, foods, regimens and more. Did you realize that most of the DNA in your body is bacterial? You have somewhere around ten times as many bacteria in your body as human cells. It’s these kinds of facts that are leading many people to believe that we’ve been looking at medicine the wrong way!

When studying ancient medicine one might presume that these primitive forms of treatment were absurd or barbaric, but what if there was a method to the madness? What if during and after a session of acupuncture your body has a natural immune response? What if it recognizes something unusual and as a result unleashes antibodies, cortisone, or triggers other healing mechanisms? Perhaps when it comes to the Bee’s, they have adapted with a unique set of antibodies over thousands or millions of years? Have they developed a unique set of antibodies, a wonderful microbial system, and more to help them fend off disease? It’s possible.

There’s a new antibody known as the N6 antibody which is garnering a lot of attention for it’s ability to fight 16 out of 20 strains of the HIV virus. (Or around 80%-86% of the viruses and their mutations) This when considering the constant new discoveries in genomics, the microbiome, synthetic antibodies, and a whole host of other new medical breakthroughs should have people very excited about the future of medicine.

Bee Venom Therapy

I’ve heard that the Bee’s are dying, also known as colony collapse due to a number of environmental factors. Maybe we as humans should do our part in protecting the Bee’s, as they are necessary for so many human and environmental systems. I would put pollination and food production at the top of my list of Bee benefits. I’m not a scientist but I’m sure that there are many more things that Bee’s are useful for in our ecosystem. We probably shouldn’t take them for granted. I think it pays to have an open mind when considering new medical treatments.

Our understanding has grown tremendously in many different areas of health and alternative medicine over the last couple of decades. In fact recently, it’s grown exponentially.  I’ve heard that computing capabilities have almost doubled every five years. Hopefully one day they’ll be able to utilize this power for new medicine, programs, detailed models of human health, software and much more. They’re really only limited by their imaginations and the rules of science.
