I love to research health related articles and new discoveries. These days it seems that there are new advancements and medical information coming out faster than most of us can keep up! One of my favorite areas of study is in the “microbiota or microbiome”. This is also known as a “second brain”.
We have as much as ten times as many bacterial cells in our body as human cells. One might draw the conclusion, that these little “bugs” are playing an enormous role in our health? In fact, when it comes to our physiology they may be responsible for much more than we are currently aware of at a cellular or unseen level? Who knows what processes they are responsible for?
It is well known that you can alter your own “bacterial ecosystem” with probiotics, prebiotics, antibiotics, diet, stress, and other factors. On a graph of certain bacteria (separated into different colors) you might actually see a difference in microbial balance (good bacteria vs bad) in sick and healthy individuals. This may indicate that some people are missing specific bacteria, or even experiencing disease type symptoms based on their particular diet, stress level, habits, medications, supplements, or microbial condition? It could simply mean that the healthy balance is lost?
Studies in mice have provided great insight into how some of the particular “bacterial ecosystems” effect mice health, from activities to their weight! It seems they’ve made fat mice skinny and more active by simply altering their gut bacteria! If you have never heard of the “Microbiome”, there are some great videos on YouTube and articles all over the internet. It’s a quite fascinating subject.
Let’s not throw the baby out with the bath water, make assumptions, or jump to conclusions! Over the last several years, I’ve heard numerous accounts of vaccination issues, and drugs such as SSRI’s or antidepressants have developed a certain stigma and bad name. (Among certain groups or individuals.)
I even believe that there’s a war on antibiotics due to some of the findings regarding “healthy bacteria”. Many antibiotics kill good bacteria as well as bad. They now realize that we need healthy bacteria. On the other hand, antibiotics have probably saved millions of lives. I believe we should look at the body as a whole when it comes to solutions, and determine our best course of action. As is usual, this will typically include drinking plenty of water, getting plenty of exercise, and maintaining a healthy diet.
Around fifteen years ago, I was working 12-16 hours a day on a regular basis. I was drinking too much beer, whiskey, and taking blood thinners or supplements to help me make it through the day. My diet was horrible! I also smoked cigarettes. I should have never been surprised when I fell ill. My first inclination was to consider that some “bug” was causing me grief. I developed skin and digestive issues. I became very paranoid, and even considered that I may have Cancer or HIV. I studied and researched constantly looking for an answer.
When the Doctor asked me if I took any drugs, medications, or supplements, I always said no. I thought that the Ginkgo, Ginseng, and other supplements that I was taking were “all natural” so they didn’t count.
I studied several diseases that seemed bizarre. For example, vasculitis seemed to restrict the blood flow in the body. At this point in time I was drinking coffee and energy drinks, taking supplements, and had a terrible diet. It seemed to me that my diet consisted of blood thinners, sugar, alcohol, animal fat, and processed foods. No wonder I was sick and my skin and digestive problems were getting worse!
Instead of looking for a possible cause, I began looking at particular diseases and symptoms. I was convinced that I had irritable bowel disease, crohn’s, or some other disease. I studied for years. I just knew my skin problems were psoriasis. I knew they were caused from stress. Eventually I took all of my symptoms together and determined that I must have Cancer or HIV. The truth is, I didn’t know anything. I was contributing to my own illness by stressing myself out. I’m glad I did the research anyway. I learned a lot of valuable information.
I’ve heard that people who eat a lot of sugar, drink too much soda, or have poor diets, have actually developed sugar crystals inside of their arteries or veins? This obviously can’t be good for circulation or health. It seems that many people (including myself) never want to hear that we’ll need to change our diets or lifestyle to experience optimal health. It’s a hard truth. Moderation and common sense are our best ally.
I always think of the body as a whole. I’ve seen people experience a traumatic experience, lots of stress, anxiety, and more, and basically shut down. In fact, I believe that stress and anxiety alone can paralyze some of the most resilient and healthy people. By taking care of our “guts” and emotional state, we are taking care of ourselves. We can share our healthy habits with our family and friends.
Over the last few decades there’s been a major increase in autoimmune diseases, digestive diseases, and more. I believe that many of these can be directly attributed to our diet, but others may be caused by environmental factors?
If you love learning new information about health and wellness, I recommend watching a few videos about the Microbiome on YouTube. I’ve also been studying on the internet and have read several books. One of my favorite places to research is Yahoo Health. I’ve provided a link below.
People have been searching for the best health and ageing secrets for thousands of years, but has science finally unlocked vital clues? As the quest for the proverbial “fountain of youth” continues, new studies and advancements have led to an exciting and promising new age of medical discoveries.
I’ve heard of telomerase referred to as the hard part of your shoelace. In fact they are like the end caps of a chromosome. Their role in health and ageing was little known until recently. The supplement “telomerase enzyme” is selling on the internet for anywhere between $20 and $600+ dollars. Some people will pay a fortune to stay young!
As a Nootropic fanatic, I find myself studying and doing a ton of research on health and medical news. If you don’t have $600 dollars to spend on a bottle of miracle pills, you’re not alone! You can naturally keep your telomeres healthy by reducing stress levels, drinking plenty of water, supplementing or eating a diet high in Omega 3’s, eating plenty of nuts and seeds, taking vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, and more. You see, over time your telomeres gradually wear down and become frayed.
I’ve found a supplementAstragalus that doesn’t cost a fortune.
The many reported benefits of astragalus are, improved heart health, improved immunity, the alleviation of allergies, fighting certain types of Cancer, and improving longevity! These are all wonderful claims, but if we really want to know how astragalus works, and how vital telomeres are perhaps we should view some real life cases? After all, there are millions of claims all over the internet.
NAD+Reverse ageing in mice!
NAD+ is nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. Foods that contain or can increase NAD+ include, milk, green vegetables, chicken, yeast, the crimini mushroom, peas, asparagus, broccoli, and more. Increasing NAD+ levels may be beneficial to your health!
In this Marketing Secret Report, I want to cover some tricks and rumors that I’ve heard of over the years. When I first began building websites things were much different than they are today. For example, a web designer could build an optimized basic html page that ranked on the first page of Google and Yahoo without a lot of effort. The rules were pretty simple and straight forward. Things have changed.
Now your website should be “responsive” or show up nicely on almost any device. The goal of this Marketing Secret Report is to look at some things that used to work, (but no longer do) and determine if there are any things we can do today that may still work or provide us with an advantage?
Marketing Secret Report
Here’s an example of what I’m talking about. Back in the old days you could use your keywords or keyword phrases between seven to ten times (on page) and almost certainly expect to be ranked well for those words or terms. The tricky Marketer learned that he could load his page with thousands of keywords!
The way he accomplished keyword loading was by creating “huge” keyword and keyword phrase lists. He would then set the text in his editor to the smallest size possible, and use white text keywords on a white background. (Because nobody could see his keywords, and search engines weren’t designed to spot this trick, I’m sure this tactic worked great for a while!)
Unfortunately, now the Search Engines are looking for these tricks and actually punish people for their efforts. I suppose they see it as cheating? You just can’t do it anymore! Some of the old tricks will hurt you more than they help you these days.
The question is, “How smart have search engines become?” Are there still any tricks or hacks that actually work? I’ve used my imagination and I’ve often contemplated the best way to outsmart the search engines. It would be a real shame if I couldn’t still find ways to trick them. They’re probably much more advanced than me by now!
In this marketing secret report, I’d like to also examine some things that may be considered bad or nefarious, and yet I’ve never heard of anyone suffering any punishment from practicing them.
Some examples of these things would be, possibly making someone feel like they have a serious problem and they need your service or product. Using subliminal messages, or making an issue such as weight, skin problems, disease, and several other very personal matters seem like a dark and gloomy condition that is plaguing the “victim” and only you or your product are qualified to fix the “severe issue” they’re having.
Maybe I have a conscience, because I’m just not into capitalizing off of other people’s weaknesses, or exaggerated and perceived problems. Don’t get me wrong, I love to help people, but I have to be very confident in what I’m offering them. I don’t make “great claims”. I don’t want to lead anyone on. I don’t see them as a quick dollar. I see them as people.
Marketing Secret Report
So where do you draw the line? I’ve heard of affiliates stealing other affiliates links, and several other horror stories. Is it only possible for “web guru’s”, programmers, or people who can afford to buy really expensive software and programs to make money on the Internet? I hope it’s not just “the lowest common denominator” or “used car salesman type”that’s making great money on the Internet?
I’ve heard another rumor of a guy who created multiple email accounts. He did this so that he could post on Ad Websites without being accused of spam or flagged. He was particularly fond of Craigslist. (I can’t seem to keep my legitimate ads up on Craigslist, without being flagged.)
I’ve heard others have developed “web crawlers” or “spiders” that search the web for them, and bring back specific products or deals. This would obviously give them a major advantage over the competition, because the results come straight to them, and before anyone else has even seen them. That’s pretty powerful! I wish I had tools like that. Maybe I should learn how to make them?
n the Marketing Secret Report, we should also consider “ad blaster” type tools. These are tools that are supposedly designed to blast your ads out to literally hundreds or thousands of websites at a time. I’ve actually tried a couple of them, but they didn’t do me a whole lot of good. Maybe there’s a “glitch” in their software or something that happens between your image sizes, ad length, and more when going from one website to another? Then again, maybe the internet is just plain loaded with billions of ads? Perhaps the most functional and best software hasn’t been created yet?
I’m still working on figuring out what we can do to improve our productivity. Hopefully we can figure things out before the robots take over?
Thank you so much for viewing our Marketing Secret Report!
Thank you for visiting our page, “The beginners guide to html“. I hope you find the information valuable and useful!
Before we begin there are a few things I’d like to explain. The first is that when I first started learning how to code, I had no idea that there were free tools and software all over the Internet. Many can be downloaded. Many can be used on a website, and many come in codes that you can copy and paste. (Such as Java script.) Copy and paste has become second nature to me. It saves me a ton of time.
If I create a layout that I’m happy with, I can model my whole website after it. I do this by either copying the code and pasting it in a new text document, or I can simply right click on the document itself, click copy, and paste it where I want it. I’ll also need to rename it so that it doesn’t have the same name as the original document. (If you don’t rename your files, your computer will assume that because they have the same name, they’re the same document. It will try to replace your original copy with the new one you’re trying to create.)
To rename a file simply right click on the document and scroll down to rename. Click rename, and name the file whatever you’d like. Just remember that if you’re building a website, the file name should always end in .html Example-Page2.html
Example-Your first page, also known as your home page, will always be named index.html. index.html tells the browser that this is your home page. Other than your home page, all of the other pages can be named anything you’d like.
Tip-When I name a document I try to name it something relevant, (to the content it contains) something I can remember, and I often think about search friendly terms that people might type into their search bar. This is the first step to SEOor Search Engine Optimization. I can keep this in mind when I’m naming my folders and images as well! It helps draw more organic traffic to my website.
The second thing I want to bring up, (this is why I often recommend that beginners think about building a website with WordPress. WordPress is one of the most beginner friendly platforms available, because it doesn’t require you to learn 5 different coding languages. The only thing required to build a WordPress website, is for you to become familiar with the way things work in WordPress. Basic html has changed big time since I began coding. Now there’s an html5, CSS, Java script, responsive design, and more involved with building a professional website.
The above are basically different coding languages that have to do with the page structure, functions, layout, and more. A responsive designlayout, is a website that will appear wonderfully whether someone is browsing on their personal computer, laptop, tablet, cell phone, etc. You can think of these different languages or codes as instructions that a computer or browser will read and follow to build your page. Java script is usually a function that needs to be performed or an action you want to take.
The beginners guide to html.
In basic html there are codes inside of these two brackets. < and >
html-is hyper text markup language. The html tells the browser what kind of document it’s looking at. You can create a new web page in your text pad or notepad. You change the name of the document to name.html instead of name.txt to make it a web page or html document. By adding .html to the end of your page name, you let the browser know what kind of file or document it is. Example–homepage.html or index.html (The index.html page is the first page of your website!)
The < html > element is always the first tag on a web page. So to start building your first web page you’ll open up notepad and type this code exactly as it appears.
< html > This element means that it’s Hyper Text Markup Language.
Now the browser knows that it should read this document as an htmldocument or web page.
There is an opening element<html> (which means this web page starts here, and a closing </html>element, which means that ” this is where the html or “web page” ends.
The brackets represent a rule or function. If you’re done with the page you’ll want to close it with the closing element. </html>
Tip-Anytime you want to close an element you’ll add a forward slash like this </title></head></body></html> inside of the brackets.
Some other elements that are always present in a web page are the-
Title element-<title> This is the title of your page.
Head element-<head>is a container for all the head elements. The <head> element can include a title for the document, scripts, styles, meta information, and more.
Body element-<body> This is the body of your page, or where most of your content is usually found. Just like in the example above, to open your the body of your web page you need a <body> element, and to close, you’ll need to specify that you’re at the end of the body by closing it. </body> Now the browser or computer know that this is the end of the body of your page. The body as a general rule always contains most of the content that makes up your web page.
Meta elements-<meta> Meta tags are tags that can be used to give a description of your web page or website, add keywords, and basically tell the browser or computer more about your pages and website. They are rumored to be vital to search engine optimization, and thus good to learn.
Closing elements-Whenever you’re done with a section of your page you need to close that section. You do this by adding a forward slash.
Example–</html>This is the html closing element or the last element or code on my web page.
</head>This is where the head section of my web page ends.
</title>My title goes between my opening head element and closing head element.
<html>This is an html read document. This element means open this page here, and follow my code.
<head><title>beginners guide to html</title>
<body>You’ll find most of my content between the opening bodyelement and closing body element.
</body>I’m done with the body of my web page.
</html>This is the close section of my html document. I must include it for my web page to load correctly.
To close any section always add a forward slash before the section name in the brackets.
</html>close the html document.
</head> close the head section of my document.
</title> close the title section.
</body>close the body section of my document.
There are lots of other elements that you can use to achieve certain results on a web page. For example <u> means underline this text, <b> means make this text bold.
Example-<b>Now this sentence is bold</b>
Notice that I had to close it when I want it to stop being bold by adding the </b> element.
I wanted the sentence above to be bold and underlined so I added both of the codes or elements. <b>bold</b> and <u>underline</u>I also made sure to close them when didn’t want the rest of my page to be bold or underlined.
The only difference between opening elements <html> <head> <title> <body> and closing elements, is that when you’re done with that particular section of your web page you have to close it by adding the forward slash to the element or tag.
<br>This is a break tag or element. It tells the browser and computer that I want to skip to the next line here.
Here’s a sentence. <br><br>
<center>This means center everything between this tag and this.</center>
I told my computer that I wanted to skip two lines or to make two breaks. </br>And here I turn it off, to go back to regular editing.
<br>Skip a line.
Skip a line, or skip to the next line. (like hitting enter when typing.)
<center>Center everything between these two tags.</center>
It’s like feeding your computer or the browser the instructions for your web page! I’ve never used most of the elements or tags that are available to build my websites, but if you’d like to see most of them, and what they do you can click here.
The beginners guide to html.
Below I’ve provided a list of free tools, and a couple of videos you can watch. There are all kinds of free resources on the Internet.
Tip-If you want to know what code was used to build a website you can-
Go to a website.
Right click somewhere blank on the page, (in other words you won’t want to right click on a link or banner, but you’ll want to click on a blank space or on regular text on the website. Now that you’ve right clicked on a web page–
Scroll down to the option that says “view source” or “view page source“.
The code that was used to build the page you’re looking at should appear.
Quick Tip-In marketing I want to know what people are doing right and what they’re doing wrong. I can apply these things to my own work. If I go to Google and type in a search, the first 10-50 or so results are the most popular. When I view a pages source code, it can give me an idea about what the top 10 or so websites (for my search query) are doing to be ranked so high in Google, Yahoo, and other search engines. That’s very valuable.
I’ll often go directly to the page, study the home page, links, meta tags, keywords, and source code to try to find out what’s working for them. If I know what’s working for them, I know what I should do to be successful. Research and hard work are more valuable to me than putting in lots of effort and doing things wrong. The moral of the story is that it pays to do things right.
To open a text document–
Right click on your desktop screen. (in a blank space) and scroll down to “New”
Once your mouse pointer is over the new option, click new. A new box should appear that has several options. You’ll want to scroll down to where it says “Text Document” and click on Text Document. It will create a new document, which you’ll need to name. Remember above when we said we need to name things according to the content it contains, or possible search queries? Keep this in mind when naming your files and documents.
In the beginners guide to html I provide a lot of color coded “Tips” to emphasize what I think is important for you to remember. Below is a basic or bare bones web page or html document.
<html> This is an html file. <head> This is the head of my document. <title>This is where my title goes. </title>This is where my title ends <meta>These are my meta tags. </meta>This is the end of my meta tags. </head>This is where the head of my document ends. <body>This is the body of my document. The body is where most of the content on my website goes. </body>This is the end of the body of my document. </html>This is where the html ends on my page. I close everything out with this one.
As you can see above your elements need to be in order for the browser or computer to read them correctly. The above is a general blueprint of a basic websites code, (the skeleton, or instructions) or the codes needed to make a basic website function properly. Whatever is between the opening and closing tags is that part of your web page.
Tip-When I do things I like to stay organized. Because I have so many files, Images, accounts, and passwords, I like to store all of the information in a text documentthat I keep on my desktop.
When you build a new website, you’ll need to create a new folder to store all of your website files and documents. I often make a separate folder for images, (to stay organized) and then “drag and drop” my images folder into my website folder. I make this separate folder to keep everything nice and neat.
Your “website folder” contains all of the files, images, web pages, notes and more that are your website. It’s the files that create the website.
To make new folders–
Right click on your desktop. (on a blank space)
Scroll down and click “New”
In the new box that appears, you’ll click “folder” and your computer will make you a new folder, which you’ll need to name. (Remember to name your folders so that you’ll know what they contain, and/or are search engine friendly names. (Search friendly names are keywords that people are likely to type into their search bar) In other words if your website was about food, you could name your new files with food relevant and page relevant names.
Below are two images of me creating a new folder to hold my documents.
So above I made a new folder to store all of my website files. I can make a new folder for anything I want to store. All you’d need to do in the example above is rename your folder something relevant, so that you’ll remember what’s inside of it. You can store text files, html files, an image folder, and more inside of this folder.
Tip-To drag one folder into another folder, left click on a folder and drag it to the folder you want it to go in. This is called “drag and drop”. In the below example I want to drag a folder that has videos in it, into my new folder. I left click and hold on the “videos folder” and now I can drag it to my “new folder”. When I have the folder where I want it, (right over the new folder I simply let go of the mouse or clicker. My videos folder can now be found inside of my “New folder”.
A website is basically a bunch of files inside of a folder. Browsers and computers are familiar with the code languages so they’ll know how to read your files as long as the code is written correctly, the files are named correctly, and follow the right destination path.
An image file might end like this image.jpg, image.jpeg, image.png, the extensions just tell the computer and browser what kind of file it is. Most of the images I use are .jpg images.
Want to make a link to another page? Highlight the text you want to link to (By left clicking and scrolling over it in an editor, and then hitting the link icon.) To write the link code yourself type the code below with your link url.
<a href=”theurlpageaddress.com”>Click here to visit the page.</a>
Tip-When you name a file it can’t have any spaces or breaks in the name. If it does, it simply won’t work.
Example-Thisisanimagefile.jpg would work fine, and be recognized as an image file because it contains the .jpg (At the end of the image name.)and has no spaces in the name. Now I’ll just need to store it where I can find it. (Usually I store mine in a separate image folder, inside of my website folder.) Now when I need to find the right directory or destination file I’ll easily be able to find it. This is why organization is so important.
Tip-In order to tell the browser or computer where to start, you need a “home page“. The way to tell your computer and browser which page is your home page, is to name your home pageindex.html
The browser or computer always knows that index.html is where it’s supposed to start from, so your first page will always be called index.html
The index.html document is the starting point or home page and links to the rest of your website pages. So no matter what, don’t forget to name your first page index.html. It will give browsers a reference point.
Tip-YouTube has tons of lessons, tutorials, and guides that you can watch for free. If you ever get stuck and need help, I’d search YouTube and the web for free lessons.
Tip-There are many free tools that you can use by either downloading them or going directly to the website and using their tools. Below I’ve provided a list of free downloads.
Notepad++ – Notepad++ is a free tool that many people use to build Websites. It’s an open source program with lots of functionality. People add to it or improve it pretty regularly. If you can learn how to use it, it’s a great tool. Please note that you’ll need to choose the version that’s compatible with your computer. You can download it by clicking here.
NVU– NVU is the editor I’ve been using for probably fifteen years or more. It’s a free wysiwyg (what you see is what you get editor.) What I like is that I can create a page without writing a lot of code. What I don’t like is that it seems to have a mind of it’s own sometimes, and possibly some serious bugs. The reason I recommend that people start out with notepad++ instead of NVU is because the support material is amazing with notepad++ and a lot of professionals use it. Notepad++ also provides you with a lot of extra options or added bonuses compared to a lot of editors. As far as wysiwyg editors go, there are several free editors available for download. .If you’d like to try the NVU editor click here.
Color picker– When you want to design your website in many different colors sometimes it’s nice to have a tool, instead of trying to remember all of the exact color codes. a color code looks something like this #ffggyy and there are too many for me to list here. If you download a color picker it will help you choose your unique colors without knowing the exact code for every color. There are probably several free ones on the internet. Just type in “free color pickers” in google or yahoo, until you find the one that’s right for you. Note-Most of the editors may have a color picker already installed. If you’d like to try a free one click here.
Sourceforge.net-There are many free tools to help with your advertising, editing, SEO, and much more. One good place to find a lot of free tools is sourceforge.net.
Below I’m going to provide a video about learning html, and another video about how to build a WordPress website. I urge you to watch several videos before deciding on a particular software or program to use.
You want to do what works for you.
Tip-If you want to get great marketing tips and free information, I provide SEO, traffic tips, tricks, secrets, and more in many of my blog posts. You can either come back here, or bookmark this page and come back later if you’d prefer. I try to provide useful, relevant, and helpful information in all of my blog posts. This is often information that other sites charge good money for, or leave out all together. Sometimes it’s hard to find the exact information you’re looking for! I cover many things on this website.
Please watch the short 12 minute video below that explains a little about basic html.
beginners guide to html
Tip-If you plan on doing things like writing multiple blogs or web pages, optimizing your website (SEO) for search engines, and more, that is what’s known as functionality. There are a lot of ways to build a website that are very easy, but they don’t allow you to do much as far as editing your pages or optimizing your pages goes. These are the reasons I generally recommend that new web designers and beginners try WordPress.WordPress offers lots of options, plugins (tools to improve your website or add and improve functionality)
Having more control over your website can be the difference between having a million visitors or NO visitors. The control allows you to always make improvements. I don’t get paid for recommending WordPress and have nothing to gain by doing it. I’m recommending WordPress for your benefit! Another benefit to using WordPress is that it’s very popular. What that means to you, is that there is plenty of support information and free video tutorials that you can watch on YouTube, if you run into trouble.
It’s been estimated that up to 25% of all websites on the internet are now WordPress websites!
I’ve provided a video tutorial below that takes you step by step through the process that this guy (Tyler) used to build his WordPress website. When you learn how to use WordPress, you don’t have to know all there is to know about coding!
There are a few things that I think every web designer or business person should consider before deciding what they want to do.
You can hire a professional web designer to build a website for $200-$300-$500-$1000 dollars or more. You might end up with a nice website, but what if it’s not optimized? If it’s not optimized, easy to edit, easy to add pages to, easy to update, and more, that’s quite an investment for a website that isn’t guaranteed to get any traffic.
You can always plan on handing out business cards, putting out ads, or telling all of your clients and relatives about your business, but if you’re missing out on organic search traffic, that’s a lot of lost potential business and customers. (What I love about WordPress is that I’m in control.)
Once I’ve learned what I need to, I can do all sorts of other things. I can build new websites, get into a different market or niche, and I’m never tied down. I’m fully in control.
Thank you for visiting our page, “The beginners guide to html.“. I hope you’ve found the information valuable and useful.

There are so many secrets when it comes to social media marketing, that it’s hard to know where to begin. This page might not be the most well written or articulate post that you’ve ever read, but I’m going to try to get right down to the social media marketing nuts and bolts. I’m going to attempt to leave a lot of the fluff out.
One of the first things I like to explain to people is that you can and should learn how to use the tools that are available to you correctly. Many people don’t understand that “google” is an analytical tool, that can be utilized to obtain all sorts of valuable marketing information. You can also use tools such as hootsuite and software programs to eliminate some guess work and get an idea of what’s happening. Sourceforge.net is another great place to search for new and free tools.
When it comes to hootsuite, I think it’s a great tool, but I can also see a market for a software program that you could purchase once that would allow you to post your ads automatically. This software may already exist, and the benefits are that you’re not paying a monthly membership fee to use a system. This software would ideally automate posting processes, and keep things organized and simple. Building your own software is another option.
Social Media Marketing-Google
When you sign up for a Facebook or Twitter account, you’re allowed to follow, like, join groups, build a profile page and more. What many people don’t understand about networking is that your connections matter. If you can think about Google like a spider or a robot, you’ll see that the robot likes to crawl over content, links, images, etc. The robot will judge your network according to how many links it finds, how many followers you have, how many people you’re following, how much content you provide, and how big the people you’re connected to are.
You might not think that you need social media. The fact is, many people spend a majority of their time on websites like Facebook and Twitter.
Remember how I told you that google is a tool? You see, if you just built your twitter page today you’re allowed to follow 5000 people. You can choose to follow people who have millions of followers, such as corporations, celebrities, businesses, franchises, sports teams, or you can follow people who have a few followers. The more followers the people you follow have, the stronger your network is going to be. That’s why I think of Google as a robot and a tool.
When I want to find out who I should follow to build a strong network, I can use Google by searching for terms such as “who are the most famous celebrities on twitter?”, “what are the biggest corporations on twitter?”, etc. When this list comes up, those are the people I’ll follow.
The truth is, this works. I have evidence. I should probably be charging money for this information! Currently about half of the visitors to my website come directly from my twitter page! In the future I hope to get more search engine traffic, but I’m very pleased with my twitter results.
Although the platform on Facebook is different, you can still like and follow a certain number of people on a daily basis. Traffic and exposure are what matters. You see, there are people who are trying to hustle by building one web page or selling one item or digital product. Some just don’t get any traffic. There are others who are trying to build a business. If you’re getting millions of visitors every month and you sell a high converting item or product, you don’t need to spam and hustle people.
I’ve learned how to use the free tools I have at my disposal. I’ve learned how to research and find out what’s working now!
Some people claim that by using hashtags or (#) they have better results on twitter. It’s important to note that others have claimed that they’ve been punished for using them too often. #TwitterHashTags
Sometimes valuable information is right in front of your face. For example twitter has a list of things that are currently trending. Occasionally, I’ll go post on one of these trending topics. Whenever I do, I try to leave an image with my tweet (that’s related to the topic) because it’s been proven that images get up to 18% or more attention.
When I build a website I can go to a particular market and study other websites that are similar to the one I want to build. This tells me if there’s a market, how much competition there is, what kind of keywords they’re using and more. If I right click on a webpage and scroll down to the “view source” option it shows me the html code used to build the website. This can be full of valuable information. I don’t want to copy my competition. I just want to know what they’re doing and what’s working for them. I also use spyfu.com to get an analysis of the competitions website.
If I wanted to sell on Ebay, I can find out what is selling by how many bids an item has, how many similar items a seller has sold, how many total items a seller has sold, etc. I can even alter the search results with ebays tools by limiting my search to bring back results that are unique. They have a great platform in which they give you options about what kind of results you want. I know that someone who’s sold thousands of items has made some money, and I know that someone who’s sold a few isn’t making a living or getting rich on ebay. Now I can go look at what their most popular items are, and find out if I can find any of them to sell myself.
This isn’t easy. It takes time. From my perspective and experience I would definitely recommend doing your research. Find out what’s already working for others. Learn to look for and utilize some of the tools that are usually right in front of you. Learn to capitalize off of what’s working and use these things to your advantage.
I’ll be writing several new helpful posts in the near future, so please do come back and check in.

Ginkgo, also known as ginkgo biloba was first discovered around the year 1690. Some ginkgo trees are thought to be 1500 years old, and fossil records for ginkgo biloba date back to around 270 million years. Ginkgo is native to China, and is used in cooking, traditional medicine, and more.
Ginkgo is thought to increase energy, improve memory and cognition, and is one of the more popular Nootropics. However there are few if any studies supporting these claims. I use a combination of nootropics and have found that Ginkgo Biloba gives me a nice energy boost. As far as all of the claims regarding increased cognition go, I believe that more thorough studies of Ginkgo should be conducted before making any exaggerated claims.
The company I work with offers 100 capsules of Ginkgo Biloba for $12.99usd. Our 24% Flavonne Extract Is Among The Most Potent On The Market!
Ginseng or Ginseng root is a slow growing perennial plant with fleshy roots. Ginseng is commonly found in North America and Asia. Most Ginseng or Ginseng root is found in cold or cooler climates.
Ginseng is one of my personal favorite supplements. The primary benefit in my case is added energy. Ginseng is thought to provide energy, increase sexual performance, reduce stress, and improve cognition. It has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries, although evidence of it’s health benefits is limited.
What a brilliant idea! For the longest time HTML5 specified, and advised developers, that it no longer mattered what the number (1 to 6) was in a heading element (when used in conjunction with sectioning elements). There are several things you can do to become a more successful marketer. In this blog I’m going to cover some relatively simple and free ways to generate more traffic. These are marketing secrets that others (including myself) have spent years figuring out, and plenty of money on over the years. I hope you find them useful!
Content-By adding more pages to your Website, you have a better chance of obtaining free organic website traffic.
SEO-If you optimize your pages for search engines, you in theory should generate more free organic search traffic. You can do simple things like name your images search friendly terms, use header tags, use a good meta description, and search for terms that seem to be popular now. (I’ll explain this in more detail below.)
Research-Go find out what the newest standards are that google is currently using, research markets, study websites that are already ranked high for specific search terms and follow their lead. (don’t copy their work, just find out what’s working for them.)
If you’re using WordPress to build your Website, WordPress offers many free “plugin tools” for SEO that can drastically improve your search ranking. I’ve personally found that I want to use my particular keyword or search phrase between 8-10 times per page. Definitely not more, and if I have images or folders named after the specific keyword or phrase I take that into account. See YouTube tutorials on WordPress SEO Plugins.
Page size, image quality and size, proper use of h1, h2, and so on tags can really impact your search engine ranking. I strongly recommend doing some research in Google to find out more about their current policies.
Spelling, grammar, punctuation etc are all vital to your professional appearance.
There are free html validators that you can use to check your code. This is a good policy, because usually there are several things you can clean up. A good free html validator can be found here.
Check out free tools and resources. One good place to do that is sourceforge.net
In order to study markets I use free tools. One way to study a potential market that I’m particularly fond of is to-
Type my search term into Google.
Go study the top Websites. These are the Websites that aren’t paying for advertising, and also aren’t really popular such as Facebook, YouTube, etc. I’m competing with the little guy, so I want to research the Websites that are popular but not billion dollar behemoth websites.
I use Keyword tools occasionally and I also go to spyfu.com. When I find a Website that’s doing well for a particular search term, I copy the URL of that site, and then I go to Spyfu and paste the URL in their search bar. Spyfu then generates all kinds of analytical information that I can use to determine if this is a good market to try to optimize my website for. (It’s a great free tool.)
Use Social Media-I want my website to be connected to my facebook, twitter, and other Social Media accounts.
Backlinks-If I link to other websites with similar information, and they link back to me, the search engine may see my website as more relevant for certain words or phrases and take my site more seriously. This is also know as Networking.
Marketing Secrets-If my Website is Responsive that means it will show up nicely on a cell phone, tablet, laptop, or personal computer. Many WordPress themes come with this functionality. There’s no doubt that a search engine will take my page more seriously if it’s designed to be compatible and shows up nicely on many devices.
Check your links and make sure they’re all working correctly. Make sure the content on your page is relevant to your page title and description.
Use excellent headlines and images. Have you ever heard of click-bait. Click-bait is a headline or image (or a combination of both) that is enticing, controversial, entertaining, informational or irresistible. The viewer feels compelled either by curiosity, excitement, or any other number of human feelings and emotions to click on a link to find out more. I’m a sucker for click-bait myself, so I know it can work. Talk about powerful marketing secrets!
My Yahoo-Marketing Secrets
I just built a my yahoo page for free in about an hour. It allowed me to create my own unique news feed based on my interests, and provide quick links back to my website. You can do it too! Click here to visit MyYahoo.
Study Trends-It’s fascinating how easy it is to find out what people are interested in. For example, on Twitter there’s an actual list of topics that are currently trending. YouTube tells you how many times a video has been watched, and a search engine by default is usually designed to bring up the most relevant websites pertaining to what you’re searching for.
If you’re in a bad Market or selling something and not getting lots of traffic, one of my favorite marketing secrets is to add pages to my website that are popular or trending. In theory I could even build a Website specifically designed with popular topics in mind, and then use that site as an advertising platform.
Google alerts-This is a program that will send you information about products directly to your email address.
Google Search Engine-This isn’t even a tool, but I think it’s important to remind people that what google deems as important and relevant is vital. Many people underestimate the power of just knowing how to use it correctly. You can do plenty of research just by using your default search browser. One trick is to study the Websites that Google ranks high in the search engine. Another trick is to use “specific”and valid search terms to get different results. Specific words and terms often bring up different results, which can be used if you’re looking for a niche market, or just a good place where you think you can compete. (based on your work or search phrase) Google can be used with keyword generating tools, and although it’s right under their nose, most people don’t understand the value of their search engine results. It may be the best free tool there is. Although it’s not known as a tool or useful for understanding any marketing secrets by most!
If you right click on a Website page, and scroll down to the option that says “view source” you can often see the code that was used to build a website. This can provide information on keywords, keyword phrases, meta tags, special characters and much more. It doesn’t always work because I believe many people encrypt their websites to hide their secrets. Please note that you should never copy someone else material.
There are many free tools and informational websites available. Here are a few I think you might find useful.
This is by no means a complete list. In fact it doesn’t even scratch the surface. Hopefully it should give you an idea of some of the tools that are available. This list will most likely grow as time allows us to add to it. I hope you’ve enjoyed the Marketing secrets I’ve shared. I hope you can put these very specific Marketing secrets to good use.
Before I even begin my blog today it’s important to distinguish what I’m personally using. I’ve chosen a WordPress Website “Theme” or “Layout” that is specific to my needs. I can work with this particular theme because it fits the type of Website I plan on building.
There are a few things you must have to get started.
Hosting-As low as $3 dollars a month depending on what you plan on doing.
A Domain Name-Usually runs about $10-12 dollars for a full year. There’s a branding technique many people use when they choose a domain name. I suggest you research techniques in branding and SEO before choosing your particular Domain name. For example, I wanted to teach people how to build websites, but also share news, videos, interests and more. It’s only fitting that my domain name should be relevant to the information I plan on sharing.
The alternative to this is choosing a Domain name that is short and sweet, really memorable, or Search Engine friendly. (In other words if your website was going to be about food, you’d want a domain name that matched your Website content.) Many people make the mistake of naming their Website something irrelevant. An example would be if I named this Website “robswebsite.com”. Unfortunately, nobody is looking for Rob’s website in Google, Yahoo, Bing or anywhere else, but they might be looking for news, entertainment, tutorials, etc. Therefore I chose my domain name according to what I think people might be looking for.
Either a Web Editor or a WordPress Blog Editor – My Web hosting through Yahoo Aabaco small business offered a free WordPress activation with my hosting. It was as simple as a couple of clicks to install it. I created a user name and password, found some copyright free images and started customizing my Website. (To find copyright free images simply type copyright free (and whatever kind of images you’re looking for) into your search bar.)
Note: If you want to build a WordPress Website, it’s very important to make sure that the hosting company you choose offers the WordPress installation. Many do, but you’ll want to make sure prior to purchasing your hosting. This way you can rest assured that everything works out and is going to provide what you want.
I purchased my Hosting through Yahoo Aabaco Small Business Hosting. I had four Domain names registered and decided to go with their $10 a month advanced hosting program. What I’m particularly fond of, is that I was able to quickly and easily install the wordpress platform right through my hosting company. A couple of clicks was literally all it took.
I’ve heard that as many as 25% of Websites on the Internet are now WordPress Websites! There are multiple benefits to using their platform.
When you use their program to build your WordPress Websites, (because they’re so popular) there are literally tons of WordPress tutorials on Youtube. There are articles, blogs, videos, etc. The support is tremendous.
Free Layouts– There are so many layouts to choose from! They are also about as simple as choosing a Theme, and clicking a button to install it. It’s great for those of us who aren’t code experts!
Plugins-The Worpress program offers amazing plugins. Plugins are added features that you can install to do all sorts of unique things on your Website.
WordPress Websites are affordable, functional, and popular. I’ve seen hosting for as low as $3-$5 dollars a month. You’ll spend around $10-$12 dollars a year for your domain name, and probably a $3-$10 dollars a month for your hosting. I registered four Domain names, and I’m planning on building multiple Websites, so I went with Yahoo Aabaco’s $10 dollar a month advanced hosting program. It gives me the space I need to get started on all of my sites.
The main reasons I recommend using the WordPress program, is because you don’t have to be a code expert, there are lots of themes to choose from, there are tons of free plugins. (Including one of my favorites, the Yoast SEO plugin, which helps you optimize your pages for search engines.) When I say “functional” I mean I’ve been able to install my theme, and it shows up great on a laptop, pad, mobile phone or personal computer. That means that my WordPress Website is responsive.
I’ve noticed a trend lately when it comes to website design. (I’m sure you have too.) What I’ve noticed is that many websites are abandoning the traditional sales page website design layout, and going with a more stylish page design. (which is of course a matter of style opinion.) These new web designs often come with a simple image background, and then several other smaller images with navigation features and possibly a small amount of text to explain the subject of the particular page. They also usually have a menu at different locations with contact, about us, directory, and more.
It seems as though people are looking for a simple and user friendly website design theme that’s easy to navigate and easy on the eyes. Is this the future? I’ve heard that you have a limited opportunity to catch someones interest on the internet. Therefore, if you decide to go with one of these new and sophisticated layouts, I’d recommend using catchy headlines.
Some of this website design information is much easier said than done. For example, if I’m trying to optimize my website, add style, add functionality, and create irresistible headlines, (with articles that contain relevant and legitimate information) it often seems like a major endeavor and a balancing act. I have to plan accordingly, and it’s rare that my plans don’t change. I think most website design experts would agree that a certain amount of compromise is often necessary. Finding balance is key.
The purpose of today’s blog however is to throw some ideas out there, let you know what others are doing, provide strategies, and hopefully give beginning web design students a brief overview of some of the tactics others use in their marketing campaigns.
So with all of that boring stuff out of the way, let’s get started.
Website Design and Traffic techniques.
Click-bait-Have you ever heard of this term? When I think of click-bait, I think of an article, news story, blog (usually an image or a video) with a headline that’s so irresistible, the viewer has to click on the link to learn more.
There’s no doubt that certain stories and headlines peak our interests and curiosity. When it comes to click-bait, these stories can be hard to resist. Do they ever account for extra exposure or sales? Most likely yes, but the truth is that the visitors are not targeted traffic in this case. (Target traffic is the person seeking what you’re selling, and going directly to your website to buy it.)
More traffic is good, however when a person lands on your click-bait page the ads and headlines they see should grab their interests immediately, or they’ll most likely end up leaving in no time!
I’ve personally fallen for click-bait headlines only to be disappointed when I reached the page and found that the information wasn’t relevant to the headline or image I clicked on. I’ve found that they were exaggerated stories, or thought someone was obviously just trying to sell me something.
I don’t know about you, but I find this irritating. Another thing I find annoying are the pop-ups that won’t allow you to leave the page, or require you to agree to leave the page before allowing you to go back. I don’t know if these sites can be successful in the future. Many sites have completely abandoned these strategies, choosing instead to create a more professional and user friendly website design. That doesn’t mean that click-bait doesn’t work. I guess it just means that you should make sure that the content is relevant, and that people don’t feel like you’re spamming them.
Click-bait is certainly a strategy many people use to get more traffic.
Blogs, articles, and content.
Many people have an item, service or products to sell but find that it’s hard to compete with other websites for traffic. Some alternatives to ranking very high in search engines in a specific category are adding content pages. These can be articles, blogs, news and more. They can optimize pages for specific search terms (not always the most common search queries) and gain traffic.
They also have a better chance once their website is well established. If their site is secure, professional, responsive, optimized, and in the right market, they’re setting themselves up for success. If they check their code, check their punctuation and spelling, make sure their links work, update pages when they find mistakes, and try to consistently improve, it is my honest belief that they’ll do well.
If their particular Market is saturated or loaded with competition, there are still other strategies they can try to use to increase traffic. Few are as effective as researching your market, and solid search engine optimization.
One strategy is to blog or write articles about things that are already being discussed or “trending”. An example would be during the political campaign everyone was talking about Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. Although you may not be interested in either of these two candidates, writing articles or blogs about them may be beneficial as a source of traffic? The same theory could be used to create a website about celebrities, sports teams, popular musicians, athletes, and more.
Did you know that Twitter actually provides a “trending” section right on their webpage? It tells you exactly what most people are talking about now. That can be a good indicator of what people are interested in.
Another tactic is to create a good network and back links. My network is the other websites and individuals that my website is associated with or linked to. Right now, I’m blogging about website design, generating traffic, search engine optimization etc. It would pay for me to be linked to other sites that contained similar information. I can go read up on similar blogs and articles and leave comments.
Note: What’s important is that I actually read the blog or article and don’t just run around spamming people with links to my website. I’m not there to sell them anything. I’m there to connect. This is the way professionals do it. I want to comment something relevant to their blog post or article. I don’t want them to feel like I’m using their page to try to generate traffic on my own website. You never know, you might just learn something! You may even gain a new colleague or friend relationship.
That’s it for today’s tutorial and traffic generating strategies blog.

Today I will be discussing the basics or bare bones file structure explanation of a website. I’ll cover some marketing and I also want to discuss folders, file location, more free downloads, provide some basic html and give you tips as well. I highly encourage beginners to start here, but even if you’re an avid web designer you may find the information regarding marketing or the free tools useful.
To find Copyright free Images I usually type “copyright free (and whatever specific kind of picture)images in Google and search. It would look something like this, “Copyright free food images”. I include “food” because in this example I’m looking for copyright free images of food to put on my website. I use this same method to find buttons, headers, decorative website images and more.
When the results come back I make sure to click on “images” at the top of the screen because usually the results come from the “Web”. You’ll want to see all of the images, so by clicking on images you’ll see more images than if you’re stuck in the web results. You can go to sites and find images. I’m not telling you you shouldn’t. This is just a quick way to find lots of pictures and helps me expedite the process. You may decide to add content or an article before your pictures? If I know what my website is going to be about, I like to go find pictures to decorate my before I start writing content. (I never want to add too many images, and this is just a personal preference.) You can do what works for you.
Once you’ve chosen the perfect image: “Right Click” on the images to save. Scroll down to “save as” and name your images.
Quick note: If you know what your website is going to be about, for example if your website was going to be about food, you can name your images (search engine friendly) names that are relevant to the content you plan on adding. This is where optimization begins!
One thing to keep in mind is that you don’t want to overload your site with keywords, (stuff it too full of the same phrases or words) The search engines will recognize this and you’ll be punished.
Basic html and website design.
My strategy is to use my keywords and phrases no more than 8-10 times on a single web page. More than 10 is overkill, and has greatly reduced my search engine rankings. The same thing can be said if you don’t use your keywords and phrases enough in a page. The bottom line is that you want to compete. In order to do so, you’ll need to make some extra effort.
Instructions-When a Search Engine looks for your website, it’s looking at codes and files that tell it what to do and where to find a particular image. In order to stay neat, clean, and organized you can put your Images in a separate folder. (that will later go inside of your website folder)
To create this new folder you’ll want to right click on your desktop screen (make sure not to click on any other files or programs, but in an empty space in the background.) Once you right click on the desktop, some options will come up.
Many people would disagree with creating a folder on your desktop. When I teach someone, I like the idea of them having quick and easy access to all of their files and folders. They have plenty to think about, without having to search their computer to find everything. The desktop in my opinion is just an easy and convenient place to save and find their new project.
On your Desktop, in an open space, you can right click anywhere and then follow the steps below.
1) You’ll click “New”. 2) Scroll to “Folder” and click. 3) You’ll want to name the folder. Most people name it images, but if you think you can remember a “search engine friendly file name”, that may be another option? I still name my folder “images” so that I can easily find them, but it’s possible that I’m missing out on a good search term name?
Unfortunately, once my images are linked to a specific page or file, I can’t change the name of the folder or the web editor and browsers wont know where to find my images. It will have the wrong path, and the links wont work.
Basic html and website design.
Note: If I was building a webpage about food, I could name my images folder something like food images”, recipes”, my restaurant name” etc. (whatever keywords or phrase I want to optimize my website for. Keep in mind that you can over optimize and be punished for using a keyword or phrase too many times. I want to say that 8-10 times per page is good, but if it’s in your title, meta tags, images, icon, folders, or text, it won’t take long to over optimize. In this case I’d urge you to choose a new keyword or keyword phrase and begin optimizing for that particular search also.
Keep in mind that you can and should research websites and search engines to try to figure out what phrases are popular and currently working for other websites. I also want to urge you (because Search engines seem to be constantly changing) to check articles, blogs, websites, google standards etc to figure out your specific search optimization strategy, (or which words and phrases you’ll want to use.)
4) You’ll need to create a website folder too.
You can think of a website folder as the folder that holds all of your other folders, files, images, scripts, html, etc. Many call it a root folder, but for the purposes of this tutorial, you can just think of it as the folder that holds everything. It’s where all of your website folders and files can be found.
Use the same process I explained above for creating the images folder. This time you’ll want to name your folder something like “My Website”, or website. This is like a directory where all of your files for your Website can be found. The next step is to drag your “images” folder into your “my website” folder.
(Or whatever name you’ve given it?)
Simply left click on the images folder and drag it until it’s right on top of the “my websites” folder and click again or simply let go of the mouse.
If for some reason this doesn’t work, (it should) try opening the “my website” folder and then left click on the image folder and drag it inside of the “mywebsites” folder.
Note: In order for this to work correctly, all of your folders can be saved on your desktop. This way they’re easy to access and find.
Note: Many files don’t allow spaces in the file name. If you had an image for example named my best friend, you would have to call it mybestfriend.jpg without any spaces. Otherwise the browser wont recognize the file, because spaces are illegitimate in this case as in all cases when using an image file.
Basic html and website design.
Your very first web page will also go in your “my website” folder. The first page is always called index.html. This tells a browser to start at this page. It’s the beginning. Remember the first page is always known as your “index.html”. Additional pages can be named whatever you desire as long as you always remember to add .html at the end of every page. Don’t forget the period, and definitely don’t forget the html tag “.html” tells your browser that this is a hyper text mark up language (web page) It’s the basic instructions of how a browser should read the code in a website.
Note: Most web editors automatically add the .html tag for you.
So in this basic instructional blog we’ve basically covered how to build a directory and organize your files so that the search browser knows how to read the contents of your folder.
Just make sure that your images always go in your images folder, that your images folder is always inside of your “directory” or in this example the “my website” folder.
It’s very important to keep the right path to all of the files so that they link together correctly. Once your image folder is inside of your my website folder, you can start adding images to your images folder and begin planning your website design.
Your website pages or .html pages will sit separately in the “directory” or “my website” or “root” folder. They’ll all usually be separate files for separate pages and will stand alone in the folder. They’ll create navigation and link to the other pages of your site.
Note: It’s not uncommon for people to build their index.html or starting page, and then use the same design for the rest of the pages. It makes everything uniform, organized, and clean. It also makes navigating your site easier for visitors, is more professional, and may even help with search rankings?
This can be very beneficial to you, because once you build one index.html page and are happy with your page layout, you can keep this design for every page of your website.
In order to do this, you can right click on index.html, click copy, click paste and paste it where you want it. (inside of your website folder) You’ll want to rename it because it’s a copy and you’re already using the name for another web page.
Today’s lesson is on basic html and web design. Please come back for more free tutorials, strategies, tips, tricks and insider secrets!
(You can’t have lots of pages named the same thing or the browser wont know which one to load.) Once you’ve renamed it (and I hope you name it a search relevant and/or friendly term which could result in more traffic to your site) Simply copy and paste it into your “my websites” folder. If you want to make ten copies so that you have lots of pages to work with that’s easy to do. You may decide that one copy is going to be on your second page where you keep specific information. For example we’ll say you want to put recipes on the second page. It would then make sense to rename this page recipes.html.
I hope this makes sense to you? Most of your images have a .jpeg or .jpg at the end of them. This tells your browser that it should open the file as an image. If I had a picture of my house, it might be named house.jpg. Without this .jpg, it wont be recognized as a picture. They generally come with these extensions when you download and save them. Your web editor also need to recognize what kind of file images are, and what directory to go to and pull the image out of.
Basic html and website design.
When I think about a search engine, (we’ll use Google as an example) I think about someone typing a specific word or phrase into their search bar. The search bar (being a robot) is instructed to go find that word or phrase. While looking for it, I’m assuming that the search engine is looking for the most relevant information related to the search. That would mean, how much content (related to the specific search) is on the page. It might check for page size, it might look at image size, and it might look at whether or not someone can view my site on any device?
(This is known as responsive design, and my guess is that the search engine can determine the difference between a professional website, and an amateur site.)
Some other things I believe they look at are spelling, grammar, punctuation, page size, broken links, spam (information that’s not relevant) file sizes, etc.
They may want to make sure that your page is secure. Many sites offer an ssl certificate that encrypts your information and may possibly give your website better credentials with search engines.
You may also want to check your code with an html validator before you upload it to your host just to make sure you cover all of your bases?

Is your Website linked to other Websites that cover the same topics and contain relevant information? A search engine may also be looking at your “network”. Your network is the other sites you’re linked to. The search engines love relevant content. They will be looking at (crawling) things like images, page titles, meta tags, network, site security, spelling, code, links, comments, design, and functionality.
They may also possibly rank based on page load time, which will depend on file sizes and page length?
Why not use Google to find out what Google currently uses to rank websites? There are probably a thousand websites, blogs and articles on search engine optimization alone. Research is your friend! You’ll learn what others are doing and what is working now.
If you really want to get technical, I’d go visit several high ranking web pages. (That aren’t paying for advertising) You’ll know whether or not they’re paying to be ranked at the top of the page because they’ll actually say “AD” or will be sitting in the sidebar. They may also be highlighted?
You want to go to the first website that isn’t paying for Ad placement on the first page of search engines. Obviously, the first page that isn’t paying for advertising and is still on the first page of Yahoo, Google, Microsoft, Bing or any other search engine is doing something right. You want to go to the site and look at their layout, keywords, etc to get an idea about what is working for them.
You may even decide to check multiple search engines to find out what’s working for specific ones and specific keyword terms. I believe that most use universal ranking standards, but you never know. You might find a niche in Yahoo or Bing that doesn’t exist in Google for particular search words, websites, or phrases? This would happen because of a large number of these websites and businesses in Google, that weren’t as common elsewhere. (Although, from my personal experience I’ve found them to be quite similar and often the results are almost identical.) This type of research can tell you how certain search engines work, how they index websites, and more.
Sometimes you can “right click” on a website (where there are no links or content) and scroll down to where it says “view source”. Click “view source” and many times the actual code used to build the page is revealed.
Quick Note: This doesn’t always work because many pages are now encrypted.
Quick Note: You NEVER want to copy someone else’s material. This is known as a copyright violation or infringement. They take it very seriously. I use the “view source” option to study what’s working in search engines right now. Good research equals good results.

Research can save you tons of valuable time and money. For example: If I wanted to sell something in the classifieds section of a magazine by mail order, I could go view the ads in the advertisement section of the magazine. (usually located in the back) These ads contain clues. The wording is known as ad or sales copy. I can study the ads to see whether or not they sound enticing or effective. Another strategy is to view the ad for several weeks, months, or years. Advertising costs money. Isn’t it unlikely that someone would spend money advertising if they weren’t making money?
Hint: Many libraries carry older magazines, that could be beneficial to my marketing research. Websites may archive some of their classified ad sections, which allows me to look at what was selling then, and what I think is selling now.
These are a few of the things I would personally look at whether I was on the internet or viewing the classified section of a newspaper or magazine.
I’m in a particular Business to make money, not to sell a particular item. That’s why I love the Internet. Your potential audience is huge. If you research and choose the right Market before you “start selling” random things that nobody is looking for, your success becomes more of a science, and less of a guessing game.
In future articles I’m going to get into actual html codes, ad copy, more tools and will probably dedicate an entire page to SEO or search engine optimization.

Basic html and website design. Strategies, tips, tricks, tools, and insider secrets!

It’s good to know how to code in html and html5. In Website design many people believe that you have to be an expert to design websites. The truth is that you could begin building a website later on this afternoon with some of the free downloadable software programs and editors on the internet.
Knowing how to write the code is beneficial, however due to great advances in software technology, being a code expert is no longer a requirement. If you’re interested in having more control over your website’s design, functionality, SEO, and more, it’s a good idea to learn about what options can benefit you. After all, you may be competing with a million other websites. You’ll want to be seen, and you’ll want to learn about all of the things you can use to your advantage.
How to build websites.
I realize you’re most likely new and have never attempted coding before. If you have bare with me. I’m sure I’ll be adding things that even many webmasters and professionals will find useful. That’s why you’ll want to keep coming back to my blog. If you’re completely new, I recommend checking out some of the free software tools that are available. You can also search YouTube for some very detailed tutorials on how to build websites.
I’m going to provide a list of website designing tools, (free downloads) below. If you’re not sure which is right for you, I would urge you to go watch some videos and tutorials on YouTube, and decide which software or tools you’re most comfortable with. When I first started learning html coding, website design secrets, seo, and more, I was very fortunate to stumble upon some very detailed beginners web designing tutorials. I downloaded the “NVU” website design software completely for free. Yes, it and many others are still available for free download.
Quick Tip-You may want to go watch a few YouTube video tutorials before you decide which web editor you want to download. A very popular one is Notepad++, but many people decide to just build a WordPress websitebecause of it’s functionality. They also choose WordPress because they don’t need to know as much about coding. The choice is yours, and different editors provide different options or benefits
Here are a few popular html website design tools that are free to downloadand try. I highly recommend watching some YouTube video tutorials, as well as finding relevant information about these free software tools so that you can determine which is right for you before downloading.
Note: There are many more editors and free tools. There are far too many for me to list here. That’s great! It gives me plenty of new topics to blog about.
